Student performances at the violin competition
A performance where true musical expression shone through
The piece performed for this competition was a challenging one, requiring a vast range of emotional expression. Most notable, however, was the student’s commanding stage presence. From the intense focus before the first note to the very last moment as the resonance faded into silence, their poise and conduct were that of a true artist.
Throughout our practice, we worked together on the idea of “imagining the things you love and playing with happiness.” This approach truly sparkled during the actual performance.
• Versatile Bowing: With masterful control of the bow, the student vibrantly transformed the “colors” of the sound.
• Rich Expressiveness: It was a wonderful performance where the sense of fun and joy reached the heart of every listener.
At just six years old, the ability to prioritize the “soul of the music” alongside technical skill will surely lead to great confidence.
Moving Forward with Music by Your Side
While the road to the competition surely had its challenges, seeing that steady effort take shape brings me immense pride as an instructor. I hope they continue to perform their own unique story through the violin.
Heartfelt Congratulations!
