Happy New Year!
I hope this year will be filled with wonderful moments accompanied by beautiful music for all of you.
We were delighted to welcome so many participants to the New Year Concert and Tea Gathering.

Those who were joining the ensemble for the first time also performed with us.
We enjoyed two pieces from the recital repertoire, sharing the music with first-time participants as well.
We then performed Pachelbel’s Canon, which we would love to make a New Year tradition.

It was played in an original arrangement for three violins and continuo. To make this possible, we asked one of our members to play Violin I on the day of the concert—and it all came together beautifully. I was delighted that it could happen.
A viola solo debut followed, performed with great spirit and beautiful tone.

The final item on the program was all three movements the Spohr Duo for Two Violins No2. This had been in preparation over the entire year. Despite being a challenging work, it was beautifully performed, a great accomplishment. Thank you for your beautiful music.

After the performances, we enjoyed snack time. With delicious treats – many provided by participants – conversations flowed, connections deepened, and we recharged with positive energy for the next concert.

To round off the afternoon, we held a traditional Japanese tea gathering.

Using bamboo whisks, many for the first time, everyone prepared their own tea and enjoyed matcha with traditional sweets.
It was a truly delightful time.
Let’s continue to enjoy music together throughout the year! 🎶
