A New Sound, A New Connection — Harmonia Ensemble Session on September 26

On September 26, we had another wonderful Harmonia Ensemble session—and this time, something very special happened.

For the first time, we welcomed a double bass player to our ensemble! 🎻✨

The moment we started playing together, everyone was amazed.

We immediately became huge fans of both the double bass and our wonderful new bass player! ❤️

The deep, rich sound of the double bass filled the room with a completely new energy. We could not only hear the sound—we could almost feel the vibration in the air and throughout our bodies.

It was such an exciting, fun, and unforgettable moment for everyone!

For many of us, it was the first time experiencing the sound of a double bass so closely within an ensemble. The deep, powerful vibration completely took us by surprise.

What an incredible experience!

We were amazed by how powerful, warm, and beautiful the instrument could sound when played together with the violins, viola, and cello.

After the session, we received some wonderful reactions from our members:

“It was a life-changing experience!”

“I never knew the double bass could be such an incredible instrument!”

“Now I want a double bass!” 😄🎻

For some of us, it was also the first time ever playing together with a double bass. Experiencing that deep sound and powerful vibration from inside the ensemble was completely new—and incredibly exciting.

Our new bass player was also joining Harmonia for the first time. They shared how warmly everyone welcomed them:

“It was my first time joining, and everyone welcomed me so warmly.”

Hearing these comments made us especially happy.

We worked on our upcoming concert repertoire, including Handel’s “Hornpipe,” Anderson’s “Plink, Plank, Plunk!,” and the theme from The Phantom of the Opera.

Adding the double bass gave us a new perspective on balance, rhythm, and the way each instrument supports the others. Its deep sound created a strong foundation for the ensemble and brought a completely new color and energy to our music.

But Harmonia is not only about rehearsing music.

It is about people, the joy of life and music, and shared experiences.

We want Harmonia to be a place where musicians can come together, whether they have played in an ensemble for many years or are joining for the very first time.

That is the beauty of an ensemble.

And that is what makes every Harmonia session special.

We are now preparing for our November 8 concert, and we are very excited to continue exploring new sounds, new connections, and new musical experiences together.
