On April 10th, I attended the Practical Exam Information & Consultation Session hosted by the Japan office of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music at ABRSM Japan Centre.
During the session, we received the latest updates about ABRSM practical examinations, along with detailed explanations of the exam structure and assessment criteria. It was a very informative and meaningful opportunity to deepen my understanding of the examination system, which I hope to further incorporate into my future lessons.
I attended as a Teachers’ Network member. Watching the live practical exam demonstration was especially valuable, as it gave me a clearer understanding of the exam flow and important points to keep in mind on the actual exam day.
There was also an exhibition of new teaching materials, which allowed us to browse and explore their contents in person. I believe these resources will be very helpful when selecting materials and supporting students in their musical development.
On my way home, I also received a lovely keychain as a souvenir. Thank you very much 🎶

At my studio, I also support students preparing for ABRSM examinations. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me.
I will continue learning and developing my teaching so that I can provide even higher-quality lessons for all of my students.
